about the venue
The Lyric is a traditional art-deco theatre with 593 seats, located in the centre of Carmarthen. We are committed to making your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so please let our Box Office staff know of any special requirements in advance.
The main entrance is on King Street. There is level access from the street to the box office, kiosk and toilets on the ground floor.
The Circle Bar is located on the first floor and is accessible by lift or stairs.
The theatre seating is spread across three levels; the stalls (which are level and accessed from the ground floor), the mezzanine (accessed by stairs or lift) and circle (accessed by stairs only from the first floor).
emergency evacuation information
In the event of an emergency evacuation, our front of house will provide instructions on how to evacuate, the nearest muster points and refuge areas.
There are accessible toilets on the ground floor at the Lyric and on the first floor near the Circle Bar and near the Mezzanine (by the Studio).
There is a small studio space on the second floor.
We have a lift that can take customers up to the Circle Bar. We also have a lift that can take customers up to the Mezzanine and Studio space.

Spaces for wheelchair users are available in the stalls. Please contact the Box Office for more information.
An infrared hearing assistance system is in place in the main auditorium.
Guide dogs are welcome. Please inform the Box Office when booking your tickets and they will help you find the most suitable seat. Water bowls can be provided on request.

The Lyric is located in Carmarthen's old town and is within walking distance of two pay & display car parks; the nearest is John Street Car Park. There are a limited number of accessible parking bays on King Street. Afte 6pm the council car park on Spilman Street becomes available for use by the public and this is the closest car park to the theatre.
